How to switch and keep your phone number
Porting a business phone number between Canadian providers is a defined process, and your new provider does the work. They build your setup first. Handsets arrive configured or the apps are installed, your numbers move on an agreed date, and the old service is cancelled last, once calls are arriving on the new system.

What to have ready
Keep a recent bill from your current provider close by. It shows the account number and service address exactly as they have them. Add a list of every number you want to move, and the name of the person authorized on the account. Most delays come from a detail that doesn't match the bill. Your existing service runs normally until the port completes.
Where teams of 5 or more could save
Moving off a business landline or an older system is a chance to pay for the lines and features your team uses today. Most Canadian businesses pay $20 to $45 per person per month for a hosted system, and with five or more people, a setup sized to your team is where the savings usually are.
